True Rippers Esports have finished as runners-up in the Honor of Kings: Torrential Blade – Monsoon Series, putting together an impressive run throughout the tournament before falling to RGE in the final.
The Torrential Blade Monsoon Series was an exclusive community tournament for players in India, featuring multiple open qualifiers followed by a Grand Finals stage. Teams had opportunities to compete across qualifiers, with the top teams progressing toward the final stage. The event also featured a prize pool consisting of in-game tokens across the qualifiers and ₹40,000 worth of Amazon gift cards/cash vouchers for the Grand Finals.
For True Rippers, however, the tournament was about much more than the prize pool.
Building the Indian Core
One of the primary objectives for True Rippers entering the tournament was to identify and build a stable five-man Indian roster for Honor of Kings.
With the Indian Honor of Kings ecosystem continuing to develop, True Rippers wanted to use the Torrential Blade – Monsoon Series as an opportunity to test an entirely Indian lineup, understand player combinations, and determine which five players could potentially form the team's long-term Indian core.
Unlike some events where international players or imports can be part of the lineup, True Rippers competed with a completely Indian playing five throughout the tournament.
The focus was simple: develop an Indian roster that can compete consistently and potentially represent True Rippers in larger domestic competitions in the future.

The Indian lineup quickly showed its potential.
True Rippers maintained an undefeated run through the tournament, building momentum with every stage and demonstrating strong coordination and competitive potential as a newly developing lineup.
The run eventually came to an end against RGE, where True Rippers were unable to secure the championship and finished the tournament as runners-up.
While the result meant missing out on the title, the tournament provided the team with exactly what it was looking for valuable competitive experience and a clearer understanding of the Indian players who could form the foundation of the roster moving forward.

For True Rippers, the Torrential Blade Monsoon Series was an important step in the team's broader Honor of Kings plans.
